Bob Gonzalez teaches speech and theatre and directs plays at the University of Tampa. He holds Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Boston University, a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of South Florida. He has been recording for LibriVox since May 2011 and hosting its community podcasts since November of that year. His mission in life (well, one of them) is to revive the role of the classic ancient Greek rhapsode (“stitcher of songs”) in contemporary society. To this end, he has performed and directed live solo and group “rhapsodies” (classic poetry performance collages) as well as founding Rhapsodize, a classic poetry performance initiative.
