Joe Coomer

As quirky as his characters, Joe Coomer lives in Azle, Texas, where he owns a string of antique stores and lives in a large Queen Anne Victorian house he built himself. During the summer months, he lives on an old wooden houseboat off the coast of Maine. Most of his spare time is spent writing—he rarely enters into the traditional literary circuit. Despite this, he has enjoyed impressive critical acclaim. He is the much celebrated author of such great reads as Pocketful of Names, Beachcombing for a Shipwrecked God, and The Loop, which was a New York Times Book of the Year. All of his novels have been under option by major film companies, which speaks to his strong narrative style and captivating characters.
