What is Iambik?

Iambik is an audiobook-making company. We connect partner publishers with a network of independent audiobook makers to make, and sell audiobooks.

How do I listen to your audiobooks?

Download the mp3s, dump them in a player (like iTunes) and press play.

Can I listen on my computer?

Yes, you can download our mp3 files, dump them in a player (like iTunes) and press play.

Can I listen on my ipod/iphone/ipad?

Once you’ve download and dumped the files onto iTunes, you can then get those files onto your iPod/phone/pad.

How much do you pay narrators and publishers?

We work on a revenue share basis, so everyone (publishers, narrators, iambik) wins if the the audiobooks are successful. Was that dodging the question? Why don’t you get in touch and we can discuss in more detail.

How can I get my books turned into audio by Iambik?

Send us an email and tell us about your book.

How can I become a narrator for Iambik?

Send us an email and tell us about yourself, and your vocieover/audiobook-making experience.

Do you use DRM?

No.

What is DRM?

DRM is digital rights management, which is a way to make it harder for people to copy files, and is supposed to combat piracy, or illegal file sharing. The problem with DRM is that it also makes it harder for people to do many legitimate things they might like to do with audiobooks, like move them from one device to another.

Why don’t you use DRM?

We think the best way to combat piracy is by making good audiobooks that people like, by making our audiobooks easily accessible, and by keeping our prices low.

Can you provide your audiobooks in different formats?

For now we’re just providing our books in mp3  … but let us know if you’d like them to be something else and we’ll consider it.
