Description
The Golden Casket and the Spectres of Light is the second book of the Chronicles of Valonia
Three years after Rachel and Gareth’s lives had returned to normal, they are forced to revisit Valonia, after receiving an unsettling phone call.
‘The Golden Casket and the Spectres of Light’ pursue them back into the heart of danger, this time to face an even greater threat, as they attempt to unravel a mysterious disappearance.
The twins find themselves in a race against time beside a trio of evil sorcery.
First Line
In the gloomy darkness of the crypt, Mordred held the torch higher as his men struggled to move the large stone carving of a majestic knight, which lay across the surface of the tomb.
Reviews
‘A fantasy mystery which gives an alternative twist on the Arthurian legend. A good adventure read inspired by Tintagel which will keep children of nine plus entertained and introduce them to the characters and settings of this particular myth. We will be looking out for the next in the series.’ -- Tina Clements, Principal Library Office Young People

This is book 2 in the series and it is just as interesting as the first. A different take on the Arthurian legend geared to pre-teens and older and I thoroughly enjoyed as an adult. Karen really brings all the characters to life.
