Jonathan Papernick is the author of the acclaimed short story collections The Ascent of Eli Israel and There Is No Other, and a novel, Who by Fire, Who by Blood. Since summer 2010 he has sold his books via pushcart at farmers markets and elsewhere as Papernick the Book Peddler, "Bringing Market-Fresh Fiction Directly to the People." He teaches fiction writing at Emerson College in Boston and the BIMA program at Brandeis University.
